la street food festival

I went to the L.A. Street Food Festival a couple weekends ago and it was divine! 36 food trucks, perfect weather, and just an all around good time. I was skeptical at first because of the mile long (this is absolutely accurate and not an exaggeration at all) line but it was worth every second of waiting. It has fostered a new found love of food trucks, and I've created a Twitter with the sole purpose of follwing them. I'm determined to try all the best ones!Buttermilk was a crowd favorite. They had a sampler of 3: buttermilk brick (a.k.a. heartattack heaven), mini red velvet pancakes, and cake doughnuts. The red velvet pancakes were my favorite, they came with cream cheese frosting instead of whipped cream!
Coolhaus, arguably some of the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever had (sorry bout it Diddy). They were so good because they had the most interesting flavors you would never have tried, like Wasabi, Maple Bacon Vanilla, and Dirty Mint Chip.
Last (not of the food trucks I tried, I managed to make it to 12 in total, but last of the pictures), but not least: Monsieur Egg! In my opinion, the most delicious thing I had all day! Not only is there logo adorable, the food is delectable. De-lect-a-ble! Perfect for breakfast any day, or all day. I had a croc monsieur, pictured above, which I haven't had since I was in Paris and it was amazing. Must have again.

There were a couple of food trucks that were too popular and I was not about to wait in an hour + line for them but I definitely am keeping up with their whereabouts so I can taste them in the future:

The Grilled Cheese Truck- grilled cheese stuffed with mac'n'cheese and pulled pork. WHAT? Basically your three favorite things made into ONE delicious morsel!

Ludo- fried chicken! The line was 2 hours long, so it must be worth the wait!

Dogzilla-gormuet hot dogs with alllll the fixings
