winter wedding wonderlands

precious. isn't she freezing?

since i want to wear strapless at my wedding, this winter wedding business is not an option for me, but isn't it romantic looking? they look so small in that blizzard!

laetitia crahay

i have no idea how to pronounce her name (probably something incredibly sophisticated and french sounding that i would butcher to a pulp) but i do know that laetitia crahay is my style icon of the moment. she's the head designer of accessories and jewelry for chanel and is painfully chic. her idea of sweats are chanel sport and a quilted chanel bag for running errands! i adore her and her penchant for headbands.

easy like sunday mornin'

it's nearing christmas, so go ahead and give yourself that well deserved break and unwind!

sleep in, slow down, savor your sheets

unleash your artistic side and let your creativity take over! paint, sketch, or do an art&crafts project

pick up that novel you've been meaning to read or write. escape from your own life and enter another to think or just laugh

when all else fails, just lounge around in your undies and socks...hopefully looking this good!

just cause

Absolutely Unique's blog - every Friday features an adorable dog, like this little guy! I don't even like pugs but for some reason I found this hilarious and endearing.

get shorty with it

Fendi leather zipper pocket shorts. In bright orange. It's averaging about 40 degrees here so I couldn't even fathom putting on shorts in the near future. Until I saw these shorts and immediately changed my mind. These blow any pair of shorts out of the water and will be a staple in spring with a crisp white tee. But if you are like me and have nearly non-existent patience, these beauties will look just as fabulous over a pair of cable-knit charcoal gray tights and knee high boots. They will also set you back $1,670. Why oh why?

polaroid paparazzi

World renowned fashion photographer Antonio Barros has started a new blog: thesingular.blogspot.com and it's absolutely fantastic! Barros describes his blog as "One unique polaroid picture. One single moment. An attempt to be out of the ordinary."

These are only two examples on his blog, a showcase entirely of Polaroids he's shot of celebrities, fashion icons, and models while traveling all over the globe. Check it out, i loved it instantly and you will too! What a way to revive a dying medium!

wine bottle centerpieces

easy, fast, and a convenient way to get rid of all those wine bottles you have laying around, this is a perfect way to whip up a centerpiece for a holiday party. festive, romantic, and most importantly flattering lighting to set the christmas mood!

loft-y ambitions

not really my style design wise, but i can't deny that these new york lofts are to die for. just look at the vaulted ceilings and rooftop patio! real-estate heaven! how many of these do you think are lying around new york waiting to be scooped up? oh the things i could do with a place like this to call home.

bored out of my mind...

as if you couldn't tell by the million posts a day. at first having absolutely nothing to do was fabulous. i was the typical city girl comes to the country and found novelty spending my days taking luxurious bubble baths, reading books for pleasure not requirement, taking long walks by the lake, and generally just lounging around. sounds like a dream, doesn't it? well it was...but now i'm nearly the end of week one and i'm going stir crazy. they say being bored is an underrated art form and as with all art, practice makes perfect. i'm sick of practicing and i've had an epiphany. i have an abnormally high threshold for anxiety (or is it low threshold? whichever one means it takes a lot more to get be stressed out in comparison to average people). this results in me being a "non-reactor", this label has been given to me by my roommate of the past 3 years who has since the beginning marveled at by ability not to be phased by the normal pressures of life like term papers, final exams, and the occasional move (which is why i am currently taken residence in sweet home alabama). i've realized that i thrive under pressure, that i need pressure and accompanying obligations to function normally because even when i'm not supposed to, i manage to create loads of free time for myself. i guess i will be looking for a full-time job then!

i'm sure i'll be eating my words as soon as i get back to los angeles where my friends, and subsequent social life, are and when i actually enter the "real world" which i've heard is quite nasty and tedious. why can't everything just be fabulous all the time? (in alabama's case it's because there are no major department stores. but in it's defense the people are awfully nice, and i'm talking every stranger you pass waves to you and asks you how you are and genuinely wait for an answer-kinda nice)

deathcab for cutie

love deathcab, it reminds me of days in high school when i had nothing more important to do that find new music. the song doesn't start til about halfway through but the video is awesome, it catalogs a girl on her solitary travels in paris. i'm getting so antsy about travelling!

elle, oh, vee, eee

aren't these l-o-v-e plates darling? they would be put to good use during any holiday party. and they keep different types of food from touching! which i am a big fan of (i don't like my flavors to mix, even at thanksgiving, it ruins it for me and these distinct plates are a perfect solution!)

closet lust

As Carrie once said, "I like my money where I can see it...hangin' in my closet!" Ain't that the truth!

the beckham brood

it's no secret that i idolize posh, a.k.a. victoria beckham. given that i grew up singing along to the completely inappropriate lyrics of the spice girls at the height of their reign, at the tender age of single digits, it is an infatuation that is ingrained in me. i just finished watching victoria beckham: coming to america, again, and it made me love her even more. she's fabulous, she's fierce, and she makes no apologies for who she is. on top of it all the lady is hi-larious! i was cracking up during the whole segment! her relationship with her husband (swoon) and her affection for her children seem so normal (if you forget about the billions of dollars they're sitting pretty on) and really loving, and it's nice to see that they've avoided falling prey to hollywood. anyway, this has led to a new obsession with the beckham boys because their style is, as victoria would say, MAY-JAH! looks like brooklyn, romeo, and cruz have learned a thing or two from mommy&daddy all under the age of ten:

miike snow

this song makes me get up and dance! well i would if i wasn't already comfortably curled up with fuzzy socks under my flannel sheets, niiice and cozy. but you get the point. also check out his other song "Song for No One", they're both currently vying for my favorite position.

alice in wonderland- burton style

and he's done it again! this trailer looks fantastic and i can't wait to watch the film! only tim burton could remake a classic like this, and it looks masterfully done. disturbing and strange of course, but masterful. helena bonham carter looks hilarious! i think i'll try to rewatch my vhs copy of disney's original this week for old times' sake, that is if i can ever uncover our vcr from our garage.
