have to have it

Cecelia de Bucourt studded fringe scarf. $198, intermixonline.com

dying. now. sheer. obsession. i have a fetish for scarves as it is, i think it's the perfect way to tie together an outfit whether its summer or fall. now this scarf, avoids any accusations of ordinary, the brass metal studs and link fringe make it edgy enough to go without your staple bold gold jewelery. i'm in love, i want this on me NOW.

let them eat cake

you don't have to tell me twice. i could really get used to a life fit for a queen. cupcakes, all around!

say yes to the dress

in my last wedding dress post i stressed that simplicity is beautiful. i still think this is true, just not for me. after watching an ungodly amount of "say yes to the dress" episodes (marathons get me every single time) i've realized that i need the beading, the embroidery, the flowers, the tiers, something old, something new, something spectacular. i've never been categorized as tame, so why should my wedding dress be? i fully believe in the "wow factor" and no one does it better than monique lhullier. collection after collection, she makes exactly what i've always imagined the perfect wedding dress to be. of course each dress i want falls under the most expensive price range, what's a girl with good taste to do? guess i should start saving now! and looking for a potential significant other...but those are minor details.

let there be light

one of the things that make me happy is when a room is full of natural sunlight. not to sound too new-agey, but i truly believe in the healing powers of the sun. i have noticed that if i'm feeling down lounging in the sun makes me feel instantly better. to me, there's nothing worse than a dark home. these floor to ceiling windows are my dream:
