puzzeled

How fun are these puzzle boards for dinner parties?  I love how they function as a wine glass holder.

kelly l. moore

How fabulous are these tabletops by lifestyle expert Kelly L. Moore? Overly decadent in all the right ways! Especially those pop-art place cards.  How fabulous for a personalized party favor! A little Andy Warhol inspiration mixed in with a dining table lined with lucite chairs equals the perfect dinner party. Kelly's work is featured in the latest issue of Rue Magazine that everyone's buzzing about.

strawberry party

How heart-meltingly precious is this strawberry party that Michele from Cakewalk designed for her friend's daughter? She baked all of the goods herself. What little girl wouldn't go crazy for this soiree? I, at 22 years old, definitely would. Especially for those old fashioned straws.

perfection personified in this pretty pink shower

This is the bridal shower of my dreams, down to every last detail.  The feel is feminine, overly romantic, and just plain lovely.  There isn't a single thing I would change and I can't stop staring at these photos.  Especially the food and dessert spreads...now that's how I really know this was meant for me. As if I wasn't smitten by the decor already.

I must have those glass water dispensers! Lemonades, teas, fruit infused waters...
Pinkberry bar and mini milkshake bar? How do these people know my dreams?
The bride's name is Leila so they had the cutest idea to make the theme "L is for..." Life, Love, Laughter, Lovely...the list goes on and on. I thought that was such a sweet personal touch.

I love this idea!  Guests could create their very own perfume at this darling scent bar and take your signature scent home as a party favor.  It's a fun event and I adore those old fashioned glass bottles with cork tops. Mmm I want a vanilla one.

madhatter tea party

How adorable is this mad hatter tea party? I'm full grown and I want to throw one of these right now! The moustaches on the cupcakes are my favorite little touch. See more photos here.

wine tips

Here are some great tips for all you winos:

1) If you're bringing over a bottle of white wine for a dinner party, it has the tendency to get warm by the time you get to your destination. A quick fix? Wrap a wet paper towel aroundit, stick it in the freezer, and 10 minutes later, viola! Perfectly chilled and ready to serve!
2) Got empty green wine bottles laying around? At your next dinner party rinse them out and use them to serve cold water in! After peeling the labels off of course. How very French!

wedding: karen & nick

I really like when the bridal party takes picture before the ceremony as opposed to after. There's so much more range in photographs you can take sine you aren't on a limited time crunch in between the cermony and the reception, so you can get more creative. This bridal party took photos in the Marin Headlands, how pretty!

Karen and Nick used mini (wee!) clothespins to attach seating cards to the balloon strings. What a cute idea! They were on a budget but with their attention to detail, you couldn't tell at all. Buttons were customized with quotes and photos about Nick and Karen, things like "Virginia is for Lovers," "I Heart NY," and "Coke tastes better out of a glass bottle". These personal touches were a hit, and guests could wear the buttons all night.

confetti cake

i love this confetti theme, it's such an easy festive way to tie in all the colors in your color scheme! this cake was originally from a wedding (i would most definitely not do this for a wedding, its way too kitschy for my tastes) but it would be fun on a smaller scale for a birthday party!
