let them eat cake

"Beautiful Interiors and 18th Century Style"
Champagne on ice and tufted arm chairs? Yes, please!  This is the perfect room for an all-girls party.  Can't you imagine kicking up your heels and cutting into a slice of cake?

Want that Bone Sunburst Mirror by Ballard Designs.  I can practically feel to sunshine radiating from this dining room.  The lighting is to die for! Tea time, anyone?

scotland getaway

This white stone croft, 50 yards away from the sea in Scotland,  is available for holiday rentals.  Can't you just breathe in the salty air? Don't mind if I do!

chocolate craving

Godiva Chocolatier in the Harajuku district of Tokyo. Drooling yet? I am.  Not only for the sheer amounts of chocolate they must have in there but for the interiors designed by design team Wonderwall (wonderous, indeed!).   Why don't we have playful stores like this in the states?  It's like a chic version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, minus the creepy miniature orange men chanting.  It looks like you could literally lick the melting walls!  How sweet would it be to sit down in there, surrounded by the fabulous lighting, and have a cup of coffee accompanied by a piece of chocolate? Let's be frank, many pieces of chocolate.

fab-u-lous

Excuse me! Calling all press! I'm in love. With every single element of this fab-u-lous home.  It's checking off every item on my personal list. Ellen Rakieten is one lucky lady to be living in this impeccably designed home by Nate Berkus and Anne Coyle. I'm drooling over the office and closet of course!

 How cool are these takes on interior architecture?  Seattle based Domestic Architecture does the unexpected so well. Particularly the key to my heart below!

bedside manner

Simply lovely.  Wanting to wake up next to those stacked books and glass blown lampstand.

figure drawing

Lonny Magazine has me wanting to take up figure drawing again, and to frame one for my bedroom.  I made a figure drawing almost identical to the one in Ryan Korban's apartment while I was taking studio art classes in Florence.  I also have a sudden urge to roll around in luxurious fur, but I'll try to restrain myself.

darling duvets

I love these uber-feminine waterfall ruffle duvets. My favorite is the white one, it would be like sleeping in a cloud! Perfect for nestling and lounging on those lazy days.

rue magazine

Rue Magazine is launching their debut in September!  I can't wait to see their first issue.  These are a sneak peek from photographer Manny Rodriguez. I love that bedroom set up, those pillows are fabulous!
