I'm a romantic who loves seeing the age on a building, I think it adds a certain layer of depth and detail moderism is without.

vintage wedding at adele manor
This couple got hitched in the loveliest of vintage weddings on a hill just outside of New York City. Adele Manor is an abandoned (who would abandon this mansion? not me!) country estate that an was bulit in 1912. Three stories, an extraordinary library, ballroom, onservatory, and indoor pool make up this mansion that served as the perfect backdropfor this wedding.

tying the knot
I am such a sucker for sweet stationary. Paper goods are such a vice of mine! Especially charming ones like this creative wedding invitation by urbanINFLUENCE. I love the take on summer camp, it even came with a map inside.

new york invites
These may be the cutest wedding invitations I've ever seen. I usually lean more towards the overly romantic, but these are just so fun and personable! These two met working at a magazine, if you couldn't tell already. The text and attention to detail are fabulous! I love the little icons and map they included with the invitation. Ridiculous amounts of joy, indeed!

happy feet
Max, Margaux, & The Marvelows from Shark Pig on Vimeo.
I can't get enough of this wedding video! With it's cheerful music and masterful editing, you can feel every drop of happiness from this couple and their loving friends and family. The spelling of letters in the bushes was pure genius! Darling darling darling.

perfection personified in this pretty pink shower
This is the bridal shower of my dreams, down to every last detail. The feel is feminine, overly romantic, and just plain lovely. There isn't a single thing I would change and I can't stop staring at these photos. Especially the food and dessert spreads...now that's how I really know this was meant for me. As if I wasn't smitten by the decor already.
Pinkberry bar and mini milkshake bar? How do these people know my dreams?
The bride's name is Leila so they had the cutest idea to make the theme "L is for..." Life, Love, Laughter, Lovely...the list goes on and on. I thought that was such a sweet personal touch.

I love this idea! Guests could create their very own perfume at this darling scent bar and take your signature scent home as a party favor. It's a fun event and I adore those old fashioned glass bottles with cork tops. Mmm I want a vanilla one.

sweet&saucy
Obsessed with this carefree dessert table! Designed by Sweet & Saucy, I love how everything is miniature and on eclectic cake stands. Just looking at it makes you feel good. And hungry. Mmm.

shrek forever after
I was skeptical at first...a Shrek inspired wedding? But I was proven wrong when I was swept off my feet by the whimsical wedding in the woods and this playful video. And that saucer and spoon? J'taime is right!

ballerina, you should've seen her

I adore this photo shoot found in D Weddings Fall/Winter 2010 issue. It takes the music boxes, the kind you loved as a little girl to store your jewelry in and watch the ballerinas twirl in, and turns them life size. In gorgeous bridal gowns none-the-less. Romantic, whimsical, and just simply lovely. Artistic direction-Jamie Lauhan-Oliver
Styling-Kristin Hull and Stephanie Quadri
Hair & makeup- Michael Thomas
Set design- Jocelyn Meintser
