can you do me a favor?

One of my favorite parts of throwing parties is having a favor table. People love gifts, especially when they're presented in such a pretty way. It adds to the decor of the party as well, killing two birds with one stone! This darling backyard party gave out totes sewed from dish towels and asked their guests to fill up on fresh goodies before leaving. The calligraphy gives it a chic touch!

These certainly are the shoes of the season.  I've been adamantly against kitten heels but I could make an exception for these beauties.  Fierce with studded straps yet still demure, they would add jouis to any ensemble!

I'm loving this slideshow in New York Magazine showcasing different fashion designers and their inspirations for their Spring 2011 collections.  My favorites were how exotic architecture was translated to the runway. They make me have major wanderlust to gain some inspiration of my own!

rue: holiday edition

If you haven't heard of Rue Magazine yet, you've either been living under a rock or have just returned from a very extended vacation.  Their holiday spread is filled with gorgeous photography to get you in the celebrating spirit!  I'm ready to pop a bottle of champagne just reading it!

This is one of my favorite spreads to date: a holiday soiree with The Girls with Glasses, the creators and hosts of a talk show directed at entertaining and enlightening women about topics that affect us in a sassy, straight-up manner.

I can't wait to decorate my apartment with all things Christmas! The holidays get me in such a  merry mood and I want to host parties every week, ah must restrain myself.

A little Andy Warhol inspiration mixed in with a dining table lined with lucite chairs equals the perfect dinner party. Kelly's work is featured in the latest issue of Rue Magazine that everyone's buzzing about.

I found a new obsession: the blog Paris vs. New York- a tale of two cities.  A big surprise since it concerns my absolute favorite two cities in the world.  I thought this would be relevant since I mentioned the fabulous Carrie Brandshaw in yesterday's post.  I can't get enough of these graphics, definitely bookmarked!

Mimi Weddell: actress, model, famous New Yorker.  She was in "Sex and the City", ad campaigns for Louis Vuitton, and was crowned by New York Magazine one of New York's Most Beautiful People...at the age of 90!  She's also the subject of this documentary, and I'm sure it's fascinating.  She has me feeling a little silly about worrying about aging at the ripe old age of 22.

 At the moment, I'm adoring Kate from All This Happiness.  She catalogs her fashion adventures with her dainty sprinkling of freckles.  Being freckle-less, I've always found them so cute. Especially when paired with red lips and retro-style.
