patterned tights, oh my!
tights have always been a staple in a fall/winter wardrobe but i've only depended on the basic black, charcoal, and a brief affair with neon tights in the past. these patterned tights make me smile, they're unapologetic fun! sequins, shimmer, lace, or just designs, will spice up any plain jane outfit in a flash.

if only
after living in a cramped, over priced, miniscule apartment in westwood for nearly 3 months i am beyond frustration. oh the joys of living in a college town. i am in desperate need (let me clarify that this is an actual need not a mere want) of a larger closet. it's come to a point where i can't even remember, much less see, what clothes i have in the black abyss i call a closet. i did my best attempts to be organized and cram everything in, i have resorted to shoving things in dark corners to make it all fit. despite my best efforts i have failed miserably. it really is much more difficult to get dressed when a) you can't get anything out and b) you don't know where 97% of your things are. but i can only wait it out and cross my fingers, hoping my next apartment will do my wardrobe justice. in the meantime i'm dreaming about these:

a dressing room! an entire room dedicated to dressing. now that's what i call blessed. and i love the french sette in the middle of the room. sigh.
must. have. now. please?

and so it continues
i should probably be in the initial stages of getting over (500) Days of Summer right? after spending nearly the entire summer listening to soundtrack on repeat, raving about it to anyone who will listen, and drooling over deschanel's style and simultaneously levitt's irresistible charm. or so you would think. apparently i can't get enough of anything quasi-related to this movie. soo here's a complimentary music video for she&him's "why do you let me stay":

blush a little
j'adore: these delicate touches of pink

just one can of paint can make a world of difference. i love the interplay between the pink, mint green, and bright white. soft, soothing, and a tad childish but innocence is beauty right?

rose slip covers, fuschia flowers, tied into the multi-colored rug. what a lovely dining room, it reminds me of springtime, possibly in the hamptons.

i love how the softness of the chair contrasts with the bold black and white wallpaper but doesn't take away from the retro-like fun. prissy doesn't always equal boring.

this photograph wall makes me so happy. i would love to incorporate that idea someday into my living room or reading space. the picture is almost a constant reminder to smile. the chrome and pastels work so well together. i love the rug and how this room is comfy but clean cut at the same time.via
wooden words for your wall

i saw this piece a while ago and thought that it would look precious in a bedroom, and instantly wanted to recreate it for myself. even if the rest of the room is sparsely decorated this wall decorative was strong enough to stand on it's own. it's an easy way to give the whole room an inspirational, rustic kind of vibe without trying too hard.
these are some other art pieces by rockettstgeorge :

aren't they sweet? it makes me feel happy, the warm and fuzzy kind, just by looking at them. what a thoughtful present they would make!
